2018 VW Atlas: The Biggest And Boldest SUV Ever Built In The U.S

Volkswagen is a known German automobile brand and is the largest carmaker worldwide. They are also known as the producer of small cars, vans, crossovers and other iconic models in the U.S for long years now. This year, their latest SUV, the 2018 VW Atlas was introduced, and a lot of potential buyers were impressed.

The brand's 2018 car model will highlight its new design image. It has three-row seats that can provide space to seven passengers even though the company has been focusing on five-seat SUV. This car is created to fit for a family and drivers who prefer bigger space cabin.

Speaking of the cabin, it has an expanded area with seats that can be easily reached and can be folded down whenever not in use to have more space. For the digital cockpit, it has a customization option in which the drivers or owners can choose the information that will be displayed

2018 VW Atlas has a measurement of 198 inches long with 70 inches height, a full range of 78 inches, and comes with two options of a powertrain. First on the list is the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with TSI four cylinder that can run up to 238 of horsepower. On the other hand, the VR6 3.6-liter engine offers a horsepower of 280, and both of these engines matched with a front wheel drive eight-speed transmission and 4 Motion all-wheel drive.

For the entertainment and safety features, the 2018 VW Atlas offers a sound system from Fender which can be used with the car's Apple CarPlay application, smartphone platforms of MirrorLink, and android auto. It also comes with adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, parking assistance, lane departure warning, collision warning and an emergency braking for its support feature.

According to Hinrich Woebcken, North America's Volkswagen CEO, "This is the biggest and boldest Volkswagen we have ever built in the United States, delivering the distinctive design and craftsmanship we're known for, now with room for seven." The car model symbolizes a new journey for the company to impress and win the U.S market.
