2019 Volvo EV Platform Has Long-Lasting Battery Pack, Details Here!

Since 2015, the Swedish automaker had announced that like Tesla and other automobile brands, they would develop a 2019 Volvo EV platform for its flagship models. Recently, the brand announced that the all-electric car would enter the market two years from now and installed with a support battery capable of running 100kW uninterrupted.

At the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technologies Symposium held in San Diego this week, it was announced that the 2019 Volvo EV concept vehicle would be released by 2019. It would be the first electric vehicle developed by the brand and the third plug-in vehicle since the Volva XC90. In fact, the latter model would also be made available under the EV platform by next year, reported Electrek.

Per Mats Anderson, the cost-effective production of the green car would meet requirements such as the Modular Electrification Platform composed of electrification features packed with 100-450 kW as its powertrain. Its battery pack also has a maximum capacity of 100 kWh of driving experience under a single charge.

The said battery could run at most 300mi. Considered as a high-end option for its consumers, the 2019 Volvo EV platform would have been linked to competing against the Tesla Model S in their respective market. The vehicles to be installed with the feature was announced to be Concepts 40.1 for its SUV model and the 40.2 Concept for the sedan version.

In other news, Automobile Mag reported that the 2019 Volvo EV platform cars are expected to perform well in the market. In fact, Green mentioned that it may be the most successful vehicle built under its lineup and would improve the saleability of the brands' products in the next three to four years.

Since the 2019 Volvo EV Platform is currently under works, the company has initially released the Volvo XC40 which would eventually be installed with the said feature. The decision to create the all-electric car was revealed by Green to be inspired by the brand's need to create a more complex portfolio of the products they offered.
