2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Unveiling Announced, Will Be On Sale At Dealerships Next Summer (VIDEO)

On Jan. 13, 2013 the new Chevrolet Corvette C7 will officially be unveiled for the first time ever, and it seems some Chevy employees are just as excited as interested customers.

The Bill Jacobs Chevrolet dealership in Chicago has created a website with a countdown clock that will stop when the vehicle is officially unveiled. The vehicle will be on display for the first time at the North American International Auto Show next month.

Those who are fans of the V8 engine used in the 2012 model will be happy to know it'll be returning for the newest vehicle. The 6.2-liter V8 engine may be the same, but it is "projected" to put out around 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque according to the Bill Jacobs website. This is higher than the previous engine which put out 436 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque.

The new engine will also reportedly have the highest compression ratio of any Corvette produced according to Chevy. The vehicle will be "nothing short of a dream ride" according to a press release issued by Chevy.

Details on the interior have not been released yet, but Chevy has confirmed a completely new look and that people will get a sneak peek inside the vehicle at the Auto Show.

Customers who don't want o wait to see the vehicle before committing to purchasing one can leave send their email to Bill Jacobs so that they can be informed as soon as the vehicles arrive on the lot. The dealership expects the new Corvette to sell out quickly.

The 2014 Corvette will be released in dealerships by August 2013.
