The Ford Mustang gets the needed yearly update and upgrade. The 2018 Mustang sports noticeable but light adjustments both inside and outside giving off a refreshing new vibe.

The 2018 Mustang. The new Mustang is a restyled and mildly tweaked version of the last model. One major difference this Mustang now sports is the absence of a V6 engine.

The front of the new Mustang gets a new grille, hood, and LED headlights. The updated look does away with the blocky and tall design of the previous model. The taillights are now LED as well with a slightly modified rear bumper. The exhausts tips are now larger indicating much more powerful engine under its hood with a new active exhaust system.

Performance-wise, this Ford Mustang is now fitted with magnetorheological shocks and updated sway bars. These allow for a much smoother ride.

The V6 engine for the base trim has been replaced with an EcoBoost 2.3-liter I4 engine that provides the 2018 Mustang with more torque. The added torque is made possible by the new engine's limited-duration over boost function. The 5.0-liter V8 engine still remains for the higher trim although Ford claims that it will be able to rev at a much higher and quicker rate than before. Both trims of the new Mustang come with a six-speed manual transmission.

The new Mustang now features a 12-inch all-digital LCD screen mounted on the dashboard which can be used for Normal, Sport, and Track drive modes. The Sync 3 infotainment system now comes with Sync Connect which allows users to feed commands to the car such as lock, unlock, and start via a smartphone.

Driver-assistance technology features have been added to the 2018 Mustang such as forward-collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and a lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning. Pricing for the 2018 Ford Mustang hasn't been released by Ford yet. The same goes for details of its drive and engine performance.
