OnStar revealed this month that they'll be assisting the children of the world by providing Santa's whereabouts on Christmas Eve. All parents have to do is click a button.

"Each year, technology plays an increasingly important role in connecting friends and families, especially during the holidays," said Neelie O'Conner, director of OnStar subscriber services in the release. "For the fourth consecutive year, OnStar will be a part of this tradition, helping our customers connect with Santa during this special season."

From Christmas Eve until 5:00 a.m. Christmas Day, those who have an active OnStar subscription will be allowed to press the OnStar button on his or her vehicle to find out where St. Nick is around the world. NORAD is able to monitor Santa's location on Christmas eve thanks to "sophisticated systems like the North Warning Radar System."

Children will also be able to follow Santa's progress on mobile apps.

"We had so much fun last year using OnStar to find out where Santa was throughout the night," said OnStar subscriber Kim Miller in the press release.  "Each time we got in the car, my children were excited to find out where Santa had traveled to next. It's a great way to engage the whole family during Christmas Eve travels."

Those without a subscription will be able to visit NORADSanta.org to find out where Santa is or can call 1-877-446-6723 to find out his most recent stop.

OnStar provides service to over 6.4 million U.S. and Canadian subscribers according to GM.
