Xbox head, Phil Spencer, has a lot on his plate when it comes to the Xbox Project Scorpio. This time, Spencer took the time to assure Xbox One and Xbox One S users that their gaming consoles will not be obsolete even after the Project Scorpio's release.
A lot of Xbox fans voiced out their concern regarding their consoles possibly losing support when the Project Scorpio's anticipated release. As usually, this announcement came from Spencer's Twitter account.
The wait for the Xbox Project Scorpio has been building on for quite some time now. It is being promoted as the most powerful console ever built. Experts even go as far as saying it will be even better than Sony's Ps4 Pro. With exception to some specs and the fact that the console will be running on native 4k, there are no solid details regarding the said console has been released as of date. Phil Spencer confirmed this on his Twitter page.
This supports Microsoft's publishing head Shannon Loftis statement. In the statement, Loftis said that the first party games for the Xbox Project Scorpio will be running on native 4k.
On the other hand, it is still unconfirmed whether or not the third party games will be running with the same resolutions. It is highly possible these third party games will just be upscaled versions.
Based on some specs leaked for the Project Scorpio, it does seem like the console will be greater than the PlayStation 4 Pro. It is still unsure whether or not Scorpio will have any VR-compatible hardware or software. This is something the PS4 clearly excel on. It has the advantage of virtual reality support all thanks to PlayStation Virtual Reality (PSVR).
With a number of tweets about the Xbox Project Scorpio Phil Spencer's been releasing, fans expect the announcement of its release date soon. Many are expecting this announcement to happen at the upcoming E3 2017 event.
