After rushing the iOS 10.2 last mid-December in order to fix the widespread battery issue with some of the iPhone units, a new update has been confirmed to be launched soon for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. iOS 10.2.1 is being launched into beta 4 promising bug fixes and improvements. This time, consumers are hoping Apple does have an answer to the ever popular bug.

According to Apple Insider, the beta 4 has been quickly released following beta 3, which is already available for developers and beta testers. The Cupertino-based tech giant is moving fast with its beta testing releasing only limited details regarding what the updates are carrying.

What is even annoying about this series of beta numbers is that Apple has gone dark, cold, and dead silent. The tech giant's silence has caused massive frustrations among its users. It has also sparked a number of rumors here are there surrounding the iOS 10.2.1. Whether the update will contain the solution to the infamous "30% battery bug" or not is yet to be known once the update goes live.

While Samsung issued an apology for the Note 7 fiasco and called for a massive recall of the units and gave out replacement programs, Apple is yet to admit that the "30% battery bug" plaguing iPhone units does exist, as reported by Forbes.

Apple only acknowledged the problem when it became widespread and insisted that only iPhone 6S models were affected. However, a number of iPhone 5 owners also claimed that they too were affected by the bug.

Since Apple has completely failed in "curing" the bug with four of its tested beta versions, owners might have to sit tight for a bit and hope that either the iOS 10.2.1 or the soon-to-be-announced iOS 10.3 might carry a cure.

Although it is notable that Apple's pattern of using bigger number for its bigger updates and smaller numbers for its fixes, the iOS 10.2.1 might just solve the issue. However, when this will officially be released is nothing but a mystery.
