Chevrolet Announces Prices For 2014 Impala, Could Be Better Than Best Selling 2011 Version, Three Different Levels Offered (VIDEO)

Chevrolet has priced the new 2014 Impala with a base price of $27,535. Expect the full-size sedan to appear in dealership by this coming spring according to a press release issued by the company.

The vehicle is another updated version to the best-selling 2011 model which sold over 171,000 vehicles for the fiscal year it was released during. It was one of the top selling vehicles in the U.S. which caused Chevy to design similar models like the 2013 version.

The 2013 model is available for $25,860 at Chevrolet dealerships and achieved a 8.2 KBB Consumer Rating out of 10.

"We'll build on the success the Impala nameplate has generated over its history," said Chris Perry, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. "We've added sophisticated design features, more technology and safety equipment, while conserving Impala's current strengths like spaciousness and comfort."

Three direct-injection engine options will be available for customers for the 2014 versions: a 3.6L V-6, a newly designed 2.5L four-cylinder and a 2.4L four-cylinder. Each comes with eAssist technology that the company predicts will deliver 35 mpg. All engine options will come with a six-speed automatic transmission.

"The 2014 Impala will be offered in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels," the company said in its press release. "The 3.6L, 305-horsepower-engine will come to market first, with a starting price of $30,760 for the LT and $36,580 for the LTZ, including destination charges. The 2.5L engine is priced as follows: $27,535 for the LS; $29,785 for the LT; $34,555 for the LTZ."

The price for the 2.4L engine with eAssit has yet to be announced. The new vehicle includes several features like Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert and Adaptive Cruise Control. 10 airbags are placed around the car as well to help keep passengers safe incase an accident occurs.
