Nintendo Switch was originally planned to make the gaming experience more convenient for parents together with their children by allowing them to play games while at home or on the road. Unfortunately, the process of switching from mobile to home console seems to pose more problems than benefits.
The Nintendo Switch was designed as a game changer in terms of screen time. It was also intended as an amazing way to encourage parents to spend more time playing games with their kids. The device is a good tool for parents to set playing time limits for their children too, as well as being able to restrict downloading of unpleasant contents.
The Nintendo Switch can be availed as a packaged including the main tablet, a dock to link the tablet to a TV using an HDMI cable, a pair of Joy-Con controllers and the Joy-Con grip to connect the left and right Joy-Con controllers, along with its Joy-Con wrist straps. It also comes with a price tag of $299 per pack, Forbes has detailed.
Unfortunately, issues began to surface and gamers have identified a serious problem. According to Arstechnica, Nintendo is on the brink of facing another catastrophe with its problematic Switch. Things get worst as the company seems to hype up the crisis by inducing additional costs as each required accessories of the device comes with a separate price tag.
As the Nintendo Switch promotes mobile and home console, the latter use-case scenario poses much confusion and burden. The publication noted that Nintendo seems to intentionally present some inconveniences in the home console system.
Nintendo Switch apparently requires several pieces required to switch the device from mobile to home utilization. The most inconvenient requirement to switch from mobile to home console is the USB Type-C dock, which is a considerably bulky piece of hardware. Worst, the Switch dock is reportedly not giving much benefit, considering the additional cost it entails.
Aside from the inconvenience, the additional cost for each required accessory also poses another problem. Nintendo sells some mixed accessories in a separate bundle with a price tag of $90, this will then allow the users to connect multiple units of TV with the Nintendo Switch.
