Dell will be one of the first companies to release a Windows Holographic headset. But unlike other companies, Dell is also working on another Virtual Reality headset which will be wireless and more convenient to use.

According to MS Power User, Dell is currently working on releasing a new Wireless Virtual Reality headset. This headset will be connected with PC with only two very thick cables. Even though this headset will be easy and convenient to use, Dell is also working on another project. They are creating another Virtual Reality headset which will be completely wireless and it will provide its users the experience they have been waiting a long time.

Dell’s Chief Technology Officer, Liam Quinn also spoke at this year’s CES show and said that people can anticipate that wireless capabilities will be in their future. This innovation will be different for Dell and there will be a way to have modular computer capabilities which aren’t on the headset. This will allow a flexibility to be untethered to a platform when there is a mobile workstation, a desktop or a gaming box.

Dell is currently doing a lot of internal work on the Virtual Reality and they are looking into areas such as refresh rate of displays and necessary memory capacity, Upload VR reported. The upcoming Windows headset is built on HoloLens reference specifications and it is own inside-out tracking prototypes. According to Liam Quinn, the Windows Holographic headset will offer its users a premium experience. Liam Quinn also declined to share specifications or the price of this device and said it will be available at the right point. Dell hasn’t shared much on the VR front at this year’s CES show other than some workstations, but according to their future projects, the company will continue moving forward with their innovations.
