Razer wowed crowds at CES 2017 after unveiling a concept design for a gaming laptop with three built-in 4K displays. Trotted out as Project Valerie, this ambitious prototype product promises a more immersive gaming experience. Unfortunately, thieves managed to steal two unspecified prototypes from the company's booth.

In a Facebook post, Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan described the theft as industrial espionage. Tan's statement considered the case as a form of cheating, which does not sit well with the company, which will offer a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

"At Razer, we play hard and we play fair. Our teams worked months on end to conceptualize and develop these units and we pride ourselves in pushing the envelope to deliver the latest and greatest," said Tan's Facebook post. "We have filed the necessary reports and are currently working with the show management as well as law enforcement to address this issue," he added.

Razer's Project Valerie is an insane laptop with three 17-inch screens. The laptop has two full-size peripheral displays which slide out from the sides of the main monitor.

The laptop's three monitors are a 4K IGZO display. Nvidia's G-Sync monitor technology powers the displays and enables multi-display action. Razer's Project Valerie supports Nvidia Surround gaming.

Razer's laptop is not only designed for gamers but also for video editors and Photoshop professionals. The monitor can handle the full Adobe RGB color space. It offers 180-degree field of view.

Project Valerie boasts of amazing specs including a desktop-class Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, 8GB of video RAM, 32 GB system RAM, and vapor-chamber cooling rig. Estimates put the price of the laptop at least $6,000.
