Android Smartphones News: Android 7.0 Nougat Update Available for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

Android smartphones received one last update before the year 2016 ended. The Android 7.0 Nougat update was available for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T on the last day of 2016.

OxygenOS 4.0 for OnePlus. OnePlus announced that its Android Nougat upgrade will be available before the end of the year. True to its word, the OxygenOS 4.0 was available on the last day of the year.

The OxygenOS 4.0 is the OnePlus smartphone's version based on the Android 7.0 Nougat. The key improvements for both flagship and classic handsets were the same. New notifications design, new settings menu design, and multi-window view were among the greatest features available with the update. In addition, a notification direct reply and custom DPI is also available. There are also added status bar icon options and improved shelf customization.

Carl Pei, OnePlus co-founder, confirmed the update via his twitter account. A fully stable release is not yet available for all OnePlus smartphones but it should be out in the next few weeks.

Android 7.0 Nougat. The Android 7.0 Nougat update was available for most android smartphones in 2016. The Google Pixel and Pixel XL were among the first androids to get the Nougat update. The updates were also quickly made available for Google Nexus phones. One of the main advantages to owning a Google Pixel or a Google-designed Nexus is the first crack at android's newest versions.

Android 7.0 Nougat is not yet available for all android smartphones. The Sony Xperia smartphones have already received most of their Android 7.0 Nougat updates. Huawei's EMUI 5.0 and the Nougat 7.0 are expected to come out early this year. HTC has yet to put a timeframe on when it will receive its Android 7.0 update. Samsung is also behind in the game, with the exception of the flagships - Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update should be available to all android smartphones by 2017. This is limited only to the newer phones that are capable of receiving the update.
