Nissan Qashqai, an urban crossover built by Nissan, a Japanese multinational company, will soon depart for the USA to have its first public viewing at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Considered as the original crossover, the Nissan Qashqai had received several awards including Car of the Year by "What Car?" an online car magazine. It was dubbed the most economical and least polluting vehicle in its category.
Nissa Qashqai, built in 2014 and belongs to the second generation, is said to be brought to the US to be a part of the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. The first generation Nissan Qashqai became a part of the European fleet and was very popular in the United Kingdom. Because of the car's popularity in UK, its makers believed that it would attract customers in the US and so it decided to market its latest version to the US, according to Car Scoops.
The Japanese automaker's decision to bring the crossover to the US was also prompted by the success of The Rogue, which became its bestselling model in the United States. While the two vehicles look highly similar, the Nissan Qashqai is smaller and does not have a third row. It is expected to compete with the Honda HR-V, Ford EcoSport and Toyota C-HR as well as its sibling in Nissan, The Rogue, according to Auto Blog.
While it is almost 100% sure that the Nissan Qashqai will make its first bow to US customers in the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, there was no information yet as to whether its name will be changed or not. The company has not yet set the price but it was scheduled to arrive to the US market in 2018. It also seems that the engine to be used to power this car has not yet been revealed by the Japanese automakers, according to Auto Evolution.
The state-of-the-art safety features and impressive performance of the Nissan Qashqai will most likely enable it to follow the footsteps of The Rogue. Its debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show will pave the way to its entrance to the US market and car industry. With the growing popularity of small crossovers in the United States of America, there is no doubt that this small car will attract a huge number of customers.
