New Barack Obama Campaign: Under Romney Say Goodbye To Big Bird (VIDEO)

President Barack Obama released a new ad campaign today mocking presidential candidate Mitt Romney's promise to stop all funding that goes toward public broadcasting.

The commercial will be aired on national television stations and is receiving a lot of views on Youtube already.

In the commercial, Big Bird is featured to be the leader and mastermind behind convicted felons like Ken Lay and Bernie Madoff.

Romney's most famous stance from the first debate was arguably his position on public broadcasting televison. He stated in his rant that while he loves Big Bird, if he was elected, he would end federal subsidies for the Public Broadcasting Service to help balance out the budget. This would mean the station for many educational programming shows like Sesame Street would no longer have a home.

"He'll get rid of regulations on Wall Street, but he's going to crack down on Sesame Street. Thank goodness somebody is finally getting tough on Big Bird," said a joking Obama at a campaign rally in Madison, Wis. "Who knew that he was responsible for all these deficits? Elmo has got to watch out."

The Sesame Workshop does not view the commercial as a joke however, as the show is strict on not supporting or endorsing either candidates during election time. Newsday reported that the company did not approve of the ad campaign, and have already requested the ad be taken down.

Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Obama released a statement saying that the campaign will go over Sesame Workshop's request before taking action.

Romney has also taken offense to the content the add discusses, wondering why Obama is focusing on a PBS show instead of important issues that could win or lose him the election.

Apparently it was okay to mention Big Bird when trying to convince millions of people to vote for you in a debate, but its not according to Romney in a commercial.
