The 5 Series is one of the most controversial models of BMW in recent times which never really succeed in the market. With the new 6 Series GT, expect everything to change. Here are information regarding the new 6 Series GT including its price, engines, specs and more.

2017 BMW 6 Series GT Specs

BMW 6 Series GT spy shots we found at Motoring AU shows that the 6 Series GT will be a more handsome vehicle. The mega hatchback will also sit on a new, weight-shaved (-100kg) platform, referred to as OKL within BMW. This platform will eventually extend through the BMW range from the 3 Series right through to the new 7 Series. On the inside, The 2017 BMW 6 Series GT will be equipped with leather seats and optionally can equip sports or comfort seats. The decoration dashboard and door panels, standard, will be presented with a matte chrome trim with dark appearance. To customize the interior will be three trim levels: Sport Line, Luxury Line and M-sport.

It will also have, active developer of speed, Head-Up display, sports brakes M, Navigation system Professional, Headlights Adaptive LED Lights (Interestingly not offer Faros Laser), remote parking, Driving Assistant Plus, gesture control and unsurprisingly the Key display.

The BMW 6 Series GT will offer both diesel and petrol four-cylinder engines and six, as well as hybrid sets with a power between 190 and 465 hp according to BMW Blog.

About consumption, details are not confirmed yet but thanks to the use of aluminum in the body, chassis, suspension and improved drag coefficient, the access of diesel version will consume less than 4.7 L / 100 km and the more powerful version, with 465 hp V8 engine, will make the 0 to 100 / km / h in less than 4.3 seconds.

Diesel versions will have 620d at 190 hp, 630d at 265 hp and M650d xDrive at 420 hp. Gasoline version will have 630iat 272 hp, 640i at 340 hp and M650i xDrive at 465 hp. Hybrid versions will be offered at 630e IPerformance with 252 hp, 640e IPerformance with 326 hp and 650e IPerformance with 400hp. At the moment there is no plan to have an "M" version.

The 5er GT never quite received the love that BMW had hoped it would, so it makes for the Bavarian brand to try and make the 6er GT more appealing, much more.
