During an interview, representatives of the Flyin' Miyata coupe makers revealed that they are planning to install V8 conversions of their models and have it installed into the brand new Fiat 124 Spider.

Why The V8?

According to Road and Track, Keith Tanner of Flyin' Miyata has confirmed that the company is in talks to develop V8 conversions from their end and install it into the to-be-released Fiat 124 Spider along with the MX-5 Miata. Although the company has not built the said prototype being discussed, it was manifested that it could be similar to the current Miata models' features.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the company may not see this as a very challenging feat as their units have a taller hood and cooling features for the intercooler on its stock models. Such features were deemed to be similar to that of the Fiat 124 Spider that all the gauge and infotainment of the vehicles are more than compatible as if they were made from the same factory.

Vehicle Features and Specs

In other news, Jalopnik revealed the model to boost with a 525 hp. LS3 V8 for the Fiat into MX-5 model. The said updates to the make and model was deemed to cost buyers $50,000 more over the stock models which will be equipped with fuel-injected LS3 crate engine, a Brembo brake kit, Positraction differential, Tremec T56 transmission, upgraded suspension, and will also have broader tires.

While Flyin' Miyata is still deciding on how the project would go, whether it will go, or how much the unit will be sold, the Fiat 124 Spider may improve its performance, transmission, and horsepower whenever the company decides to push through with it.
