Lindsay Lohan: Accident in the Same Porsche Panamera as Last Month’s Accident

Lindsay Lohan has been involved in another accident, in what appears to be the same rented black Porsche Panamera she banged up last month.

According to TMZ, the actress was shopping yesterday in Beverly Hills when she and a male companion climbed into the car and headed down Sunset Boulevard with Lohan behind the wheel.

Somewhere along the four-lane thoroughfare a silver Ford Mustang convertible was stopped when it received an unwelcome tap from the starlet's car.

A woman in the car told the gossip blog, "We were sitting at a light and somebody hit us."

A male passenger reportedly emerged from Lohan's car, apologized for the mishap, handed over a phone number, and said that he and the actress had to be on their way because the paparazzi sharks were circling.

If this is the same Porsche Lohan was driving, the car has certainly been put through the wringer by its current renter.

On June 8, Lohan and her assistant were hospitalized with minor injuries after Lohan drove the Panamera into the back of an 18-wheeler.

Lohan was said to have blamed the truck driver for the accident (she said he cut her off; he denied it), and then further said that when she tried to hit the brakes, nothing happened.

Porsche corporate headquarters in Germany reportedly contacted the rental company, tested the Porsche's brakes, and declared them in perfect working order.

At the time, it was widely reported that the Panamera was wrecked, but it appears that it has not only been repaired, but that the rental company has overlooked the actress's less-than-stellar driving history and again entrusted her with its expensive machine.

Lohan's first publicized road mishap occurred in May 2005, when her Mercedes SL 65 AMG was hit by an overzealous member of the paparazzi, whose recklessness resulted in his arrest.

She wasn't blamed for this incident, but in October of that year - again in the SL 65 - Lohan broadsided a minivan while attempting to dodge the paparazzi.

The SL 65 survived, only to be driven by Lohan onto a curb in May of 2007 in what police determined to be a DUI-related accident.

Later that year, shortly out of rehab and with her license suspended, Lohan was again arrested, this time for drunk driving, cocaine possession, and driving without a license.

After yesterday's accident, Britain's Daily Mail ran a piece on the story with the headline "Perhaps it is time for a chauffeur?"
