Wrestler and actor John Cena, 35, has made nice with his estranged wife.
Legally-speaking, that is.
The WWE champ and star of the films The Marine and Legendary reportedly blindsided his wife, Elizabeth Huberdeau Cena, 32, by filing for divorce in Hillsborough County, Florida in May. The two were married in Boston in 2009, but had been high-school sweethearts in West Newbury, Massachusetts and classmates at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
TMZ reports that the soon-to-be ex-Mrs Cena was trying to get around her prenup by claiming infidelity on the wrestler's part.
And it was reported in the Tampa Bay Times in June that she was trying to stall the divorce proceedings by claiming that the papers her husband filed were invalid. They called her by her maiden name rather than her legal married name, she said, and they did not have a copy of the couple's prenup attached.
The Times also said that John Cena claimed in his divorce petition that there was no marital property to be divided.
However, her lawyer tells TMZ that the matter has been resolved "amicably" and confidentially.
The International Business Times speculates that "the weeks since being hit with divorce papers must have been enough for Huberdeau's shock to wear off, because she is allegedly recanting the cheating allegations."
According to Right Entertainment, Huberdeau Cena is a real estate agent near Tampa. John Cena reportedly lives in Land O'Lakes, Florida.
