The brand new 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE had redeemed itself as one of the fastest muscle cars of today as it dominated the Lightning Lap 2016. In fact, it was labeled as the best performing automobile in the market to date.
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE was invited to participate in the recent Motor Trend's Best Driver's Car event. It was then revealed that the sixth-generation model was faster compared to its fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.
According to Motor Authority, it was revealed that the said 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE was manufactured with a performance package that improved its trim.
Furthermore, Car and Driver revealed that the model was able to dominate in the Lightning Lap 2016 event held at Virginia International Raceway last week. It was able to complete its lap with only 3:04 minutes wherein it was labeled as the fastest one on the track.
The Specs
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE is a six-cylinder vehicle that gives a firmer grip on the tracks. It is also able to reach a 455-hp rating that was deemed to be better than the Jaguar F-type Project 7, the 10-cylinder Audi R8 and the 707-hp Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, the latter being the most competitive model of muscle cars today.
Furthermore, it is powered by a 3.6 liter V6 engine that has been revised several times since the Camaro was introduced to the market. It is able to set off 700 rpm that was considered to be the most exotic six-pot engines in the market at present.
Its tires are also powered by Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3, has 3743 lb on it and able to garner 8.2 lb/hp.
Interiors
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE also has a suede-wrapped steering wheel, dual-mode exhaust rings through the tech-appointed and comfortable cabin, reported Chevrolet.
Its cockpit had been refined to driver focused mode which and boosts the performance up to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE is available for purchase at Chevy outlets at a price of $44,400 while the As-tested price is lodged at $45,700.
