W Motors, a small Arab car manufacturer most known for its spectacular Lykan Hypersport model that appeared in the movie Furious 7, surprised everybody at the Concours d' Elegance at Pebble Beach yesterday when it revealed their battery-electric minivan car called Iconiq Seven.
Pebble beach has become a yearly showcase for concept and production of luxury cars but yesterday's reveal by W motors changes everything and all eyes are on Iconiq Seven now. It is expected to be as spectacular as the Lykan and the Fenyr Superport exclusive supercar which are the first two model of the manufacturer. This is because W motors is not alone, it partnered with another powerhouse China-based company the Iconiq Motors.
Like all minivans, the Iconiq Seven has a squared shape body and a flat roof to get the maximum space for your interior. What makes it stand out is the front look, highlighted by dynamic and sharp shapes as well as the sides that features suicide doors. The rear stand out as well for having very straight lines design and a single full-width taillight. The conventional side mirrors will be replaced with a camera, an automobile feature that will soon become legal in Asian countries
It is anticipated that the minivan will be 100% electric. However, the mechanic of it or how much power will it cost is still unknown. What we do know is that they count on the help of Magna Steyr for their development.
Another big question is how Hyundai Motors will react on the Iconiq Seven's name which is very much similar to the Ionig badge on their upcoming line of electrical cars.
The Iconiq Seven will debut in the America together with the Fenyr Supersport on Monterey Car Week 2016 in a few days. We just need to wait and see.
