Ford is recalling over 430,000 cars to fix an issue with their body control modules, Car And Driver reported.

Body-control modules that do not function properly can cause the engine to keep running even after turning the ignition off. The recall covers Escape, Focus and C-Max models with standard key ignition switches, as well as push-to-start keyless models, USA Today reported.

This is not the first recall of Ford's Escape model, as the car was recalled in June due to an instrument cluster issue. The affected models had production dates as follows: Focus models built between June 17, 2014 and June 12, 2015 at the Wayne, Mich. assembly plant, C-Max hatchbacks, also built in Wayne, Mich. from April 22, 2014 to June 12, 2015, and Escape SUVs assembled from April 1, 2014 to June 12, 2015 in Louisville, Ky.

About 375,000 of the models were sold in America, while 52,000 were sold in Canada and 5,000 in Mexico, according to ABC News.

Ford will replace the body-control modules of the affected models.
