2016 Aston Martin DB9 GT Unveiled

The 2016 Aston Martin DB9 GT has been unveiled, and this model is the most impressive DB thus far.

It is being heralded as the most powerful DB9 to date, with 540-horsepower and a top speed of 183 mph, according to Edmunds. Sporting a 6.0-liter V12 engine with six-speed paddle-shift gearbox, the new model adds 30 horsepower from the previous year to its resume. The British sports car gallops from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Its max torque reaches 457 lbs-ft at 5500rpm, according to Business 2 Community.

The exterior dons a black front splitter and rear diffuser, wearing 10-spoke, 20-inch alloy wheels with black-anodized brake calipers. For people who like to customize, carbon fiber tail lamp inserts, graphite, diamond-turned 10-spoke alloy wheels and alternative caliper colors are available, reports Business 2 Community. To top it all off, the aluminum fuel cap portrays a GT engraving.

In an effort to make the infotainment system more user-friendly, Aston Martin has installed the latest Ami II touch-sensitive screen which enables text messaging and vehicle information. A remodeled structure of the menu display is proof that the manufacturers are working toward improving the technology. The GT offers several center console finishes and fluted leather seats as well as an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, according to Auto Blog.

The Aston Martin DB9 GT will be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which is underway in England.
