Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. resumes production of automobiles in Thailand after suspending production since October 4, 2011 due to severe damage from the flooding.
Honda has been exerting company’s wide efforts to clean, inspect, repair and replace plant facilities and manufacture equipments after completing the drainage of the flood water in November 2011. The manufacturing plant was completely affected by the flood. After taking up restoration effort for the next four months consecutively, Honda Automobile is now every ready with new equipments to resume automobile productions in its manufacturing plant. Sources also claim that Honda has plans to organize a ceremony on March 31, 2012 to commemorate the resumption of car production.
Honda Automobile has been delivering automobile alternatively based from neighboring Japan to overseas countries in the Asia Oceania Region including Thailand. And the process was impacted by the disruption of production due to the flooding. As of today, all production plants have resumed their production and are expected to become completely normal in April 2012.
Honda has proved its commitment to realizing the earliest possible recovery which has positioned itself as one of the most important production operations in the Asia/Oceania Region. HATC has plans to maintain the same positioning in the years to come and promote its brand further in the entire Thailand.
