Mercedes Offer 25% Discount in Chinese Market

Wealthy Chinese buyers will have an opportunity to buy a Mercedes Benz at 25 % off.  The remarkable discounted price was reported from Bloomberg.  Along with Mercedes, BMW and Audi will also be offering 20% discounts in China as part of a solution to boost the slowing economic car market, which is the world's second largest.

The discounts started from the most inexpensive models last year and now has expanded into the luxury level cars.  Other  huge incentive includes a free iPhone, Chanel products, or Hermes-bag coupons with a car purchase.

"This year's luxury-car discounting is the most I've ever seen," said Scott Laprise, automotive analyst at CLSA Asia Pacific, who has been based in Beijing for more than five years. "China's luxury car price premium is eroding."

China's auto market rose with noticeable record sales growth of 45% back in 2009, while other countries slumped. Mercedes and other luxury level automobiles had a combined 34% growth in the Chinese auto market in 2011.
