Nissan is planning to upgrade its Leaf electrical vehicle with the latest features, hoping to roll out on the roads by December of this year.

Leaf will feature several fresh new installations such as leather seats, a darker interior, more efficient standard heater, heated steering wheel, heated side mirrors, heated front and rear seats, heated HVAC duct on all models and a Quick Charge Port offered as standard, which can charge the vehicle up to 80 percent in 30 minutes using the DC fast charger. Nissan Leaf was presented to public just a few months back with extra features and the latest model is getting its final shape for its future consumers. The more significant news is that the Leaf only became available to public very recently in all the 50 states.

The new Leaf switches from its previous 3.3-KW charger to upgraded 6.6-KW which has paved way for much needed improvement. In its existing Leaf charger allows drivers to add roughly 10-12 miles of distance per hour. Whereas, the improved new version charger nearly doubles the distance in the same amount of time. The 2013 Nissan Leaf goes on sale from December 2012 and it is being offered with eight-year warranty or 100,000 miles for the advanced lithium-ion battery pack.
