Hyundai has revealed teaser images of all-new 2013 Santa Fe that is scheduled to be premiered at the New York International Auto Show next month.
According to the press release from the auto maker, the new vehicle’s core product concepts are “Refinement”, “Smartness”, and Practicality”.
“[Santa Fe] is expected to be a hit in the global SUV market, offering the best value to customers in every aspect, with its differentiated design, cutting-edge technologies, good fuel economy, and practical use of space,” the company wrote.
The third-generation Santa Fe has adopted a design concept called “Storm Edge” to represent “strong and dynamic image created by nature during the formation of a storm”. The company called the new SUV to have a “futuristic and urban-style” image, containing more aggressive and classic look than the previous model.
The new SUV has been called by its code name DM in Korea, but the company will be keeping the name “Santa Fe” to continue the “solid brand heritage”, as the South Korean company reports.
Santa Fe has sold about 2.56 million units worldwide since its debut in 2000.
