The 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT R has been made faster than its predecessor, the Mercedes-AMG GT S, with its 4.0-liter V-8 engine that produces 577 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, which means that it has 74 horsepower and 37 lb-ft of torque more than the GT S. It is bigger than the GT S, but the slight bulkiness is compensated for by the lightweight materials, which reduce its weight and increase its speed. more
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Night Edition is set to have its first public appearance in the 2017 Detroit Auto Show on Jan. 9 before it will be made available in the U.S. market. Even though Mercedes just dropped the luxury brand's AMG GT R this year, the company is already looking forward to launching a Black Series at some point in 2018.
