Netflix has reached a deal with Verizon to provide its customers with faster delivery of its TV shows and movies, according to Reuters.
The deal is the second arrangement to pay fees for quicker access that the company believes show be free.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed by either company.
"We have reached an interconnect arrangement with Verizon that we hope will improve performance for our joint customers over the coming months," Netflix spokesman Joris Evers said on April 28, according to Reuters.
Back in February, Netflix reached a deal with Comcast Corp. to pay for faster deliver over the internet through what is known as interconnection.
A few weeks later, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said he only agreed to pay the fees so that Netflix customers would get better service.
Hastings then wrote in a blog post last month calling on broadband providers to make "adequate connections" available to Netflix for free, but added Netflix might reach deals to pay other providers "in the short term," according to Reuters.
Verizon spokesman Bob Varettoni confirmed the deal this week as well.
"We reached this agreement to deliver improved service for our combined customers," the company spokesman said.
