Four people were killed on Feb. 3 as a result of a deadly plane crash that went down near a YMCA in Nashville, according to the Associated Press.
Multiple vehicles in the YMCA parking lot were damaged but police have confirmed no one on the ground was injured.
The identities of the deceased have not been revealed yet to the media.
The Gulfstream 690C plane departed from Great Bend Municipal Airport around 3:00 p.m. on Feb. 3. It went down just 10 miles south of the John C. Tune Airport at 5:00 p.m., according to AP.
Police said to local media that the plane missed its first approach and was attempting a second one when it went down. The plane hit a number of trees near the YMCA facility before finally crashing to the ground.
Debris from the plane scattered all over the nearby area, and some was found 80 yards away, according to AP.
"It looked like someone had poured gasoline on a bonfire. It was probably the largest fire I have ever seen in my life," said witness Morgan MacGavin, who was drinking coffee at a nearby Starbucks, according to AP.
The plane was registered to an agriculture company located near Great Bend, according to authorities.
Federal investigators have arrived at the scene to begin a formal investigation to try figuring out what caused the tragic crash.
