The Jonas Brothers have canceled their 19-date tour, which was slated to kick off Friday in Pennsylvania, due to "a deep rift within the band," People reported Wednesday.
"There was a big a disagreement over their music direction," spokesman Jesse Derris told People.
The Jonas Brothers recently dropped two singles, "Pom Poms" and "First Time," and planned a fall release for their fifth album.
Kevin, 25, Joe, 24, and Nick, 21, rose to fame in 2007 under Hollywood Records with their eponymous album, which spawned hit song "When You Look Me in the Eyes." They have since sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.
The band has been on hiatus for about three years as the three brothers pursued individual projects. Nick released Who I Am with his band, Nick Jonas & the Administration, while Joe also put out a solo effort, Fastlife.
Kevin and his wife, Danielle, have starred in their own reality series, E!'s "Married to Jonas," and are expecting their first child.
"We decided to take a break because, I think, in this crazy world that looks a lot of fun it's also really kind of stressful and crazy at times," Joe explained a recent interview with radio station KDWB on behalf of his brothers. "For us, we were like, let's not implode and let's just take some time off and really kind of refocus on what we want to do."
According to KDWB, the brothers were "a little tense" when they arrived at their studio onTuesday, US Weekly reported. The radio station also reports that the musicians left Minneapolis on separate planes.
Will the brothers sort out their creative differences and get back together?
"It remains to be seen," Derris told People.
Ticket holders will be refunded, but worried fans left wondering what will happen to the trio and their latest studio effort, V, sounded off on Twitter.
