The social media world exploded a few days ago when the teaser trailer for season seven of "Games of Thrones" went out. The 90-second clip introduces the sigils of all the major houses of Westeros while dialogues by people from these houses are interspersed. Voices by Daenerys Targaryen, Robert Baratheon, and Cersei Lannister are swiped from the show's previous episodes as well as by Roose Bolton, Catelyn Stark, and Joffrey. However, Jon Snow's line is new, which forebodes what will happen in GoT.
Jon Snow's dialogue insinuates several assumptions and one of them is the impending arrival of war to all of the houses. According to Ned Stark's bastard son, "There is only one war that matters... the Great War. And it is here". It is obvious that the White Walkers will come face-to-face with the people of Westeros and that The Wall will come tumbling down.
If George R.R. Martin's undead will ascend to Westeros, how does the continent will tackle them? The most reasonable move for Jon is to form a united front with rivaling and friendly houses against the White Walkers. As stated by Jon in the trailer, "The same thing is coming for all of us." Will GoT fans see Jon, Daenerys, and Cersei on one table discussing how to topple the undead?
The next season of "Game of Thrones" may also see the defeat of other houses by Daenerys. Backed by her dragons, Daenerys might put an end to family-based politics in Westeros and the abolishment of the house system.
Season 7 of the TV adaptation of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" will premiere on July 16. Since the season will only have seven episodes, there is a possibility that the storyline will be shortened to accommodate the novel's highlights. Fans need to brace themselves for a battle that will be remembered by couch potatoes forever.
