Feb 28, 2013 01:35 PM EST | Staff Reporter

The newest image of the Rolls-Royce Wraith is nothing more than a few finely drawn lines, but it's meant to represent a the most powerful car the company has ever built.

When the Wraith is revealed at Geneva Motor Show next week, the car will, according to Rolls CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös, "draw superlatives."

"Expect the boldest design, the most dramatic performance and the most powerful Rolls-Royce that has ever played host to the famous Spirit of Ecstasy figurine," he said, according to British car website AutoCar.

Rolls-Royce has been withholding images of the Wraith from fans and media, only releasing close-up shots of details. The latest teaser image does not reveal much, but has led people to determine the Wraith will be a fastback coupe version of the Rolls-Royce Ghost.

The first time the company used the Wraith name was in 1938.

Little has been revealed about the Wraith, including performance specifications. However, a report from AutoCar, citing insider sources, said the Wraith will have as much as 600 horsepower from a twin-turbo 6.6 liter V-12 engine. The same report speculates the Wraith will have a shorter wheelbase than the Ghost and an overall length of 17 feet. The cabin will include "Phantom Grade" leathers and an open-pore wood finish called Canadel Panelling, the article said.

The car represents a great achievement for the luxury band.

"We will present a model whose starting point is luxury, refinement and exclusivity, traits that have made Rolls-Royce the world's pinnacle luxury good for the last 108 years," CEO Müller-Ötvös said. "This is a car not only defined by a timeless elegance, but one that encapsulates a sense of power, style and drama."

A mini-website for the Wraith can been found at the main Rolls-Royce site.
