Apple's new iOS 8 is causing issues for some people who connect their phones to their cars via Bluetooth.

MacRumors was the first to report the news, citing reports on Apple's Support forums and its own user forums.

Users have reported having trouble pairing their phones to their car audio systems following an upgrade to iOS 8, or after purchasing a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.

"Now when I am connected via Bluetooth, I place a call, and it says it's going over Bluetooth, but it doesn't interrupt my car's music, and the audio doesn't play over the speakers," one users wrote. "The only way I can talk to the person is if I press the Audio button on the phone and select speakerphone or iPhone as if it wasn't connected to the car."

Cars from BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Ford, Lexus, and Hyundai are having Bluetooth connectivity issues.

A number of issues reported by users include the devices refusing to pair entirely, neglecting to play audio over the speakers, or disconnecting when a call comes in, according to MacRumors.

The pairing issues aren't just limited to cars though. Users have also reported Bluetooth pairing issues when trying to connect their devices with speakers, headphones, headsets, and more.

A bug in iOS 8's "Reset All Settings" option could erase iCloud drive documents, according to the tech site, citing user reports.

Apple has been dealing with a number of issues since the September release of its iPhones and iOS 8, with iPhone 6 Plus owners discovering their smartphones can bend when placed in back pockets.

Other iOS 8 issues include a major HealthKit bug that caused the company to pull all HealthKit-enabled apps ahead of the public release of iOS 8.

Some users who have installed iOS 8.1 have said the update fixes the problems with Bluetooth.
