Ford's redesigned 2015 Ford F-150 will come with a new seamless power rear window design option that will cost about $350 extra.
"We expect about a 40 percent take-rate," said Mike Levine, a Ford spokesman, according to Edmunds.
The power rear window design for the aluminum-alloy bodied F-150 will be available on the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum options.
The design will also be available on the F-150 Super Crew and Super Cab vehicles, but not on trucks with regular cab.
Ford also released a number of pictures to get fans excited.
"It's a cool feature that customers love," Levine added.
In comparison, the 2014 F-150 comes with a conventional rear window with three panes of glass and a middle slider.
High-tech options use only two pieces of glass, the sliding part and exterior surround, according to Ford.
"We designed the seamless sliding rear window to deliver not only a new look and improved functionality, but also to start a trend in the truck sliding window market," said Troy Tooker, design engineering manager for Magna International, in a statement, according to Edmunds.
Interested buyers can expect the window to be lighter than the one it is replacing, Ford confirmed.
The 2015 truck is due to reach U.S. showrooms sometime towards the end of 2014.
Ford expects the F-150 to compete for sales against vehicles like the Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500, and Toyota Tundra.
Magna International supplies the rear window, according to the automaker.
