Elvis Presley's Rolls-Royce Could Fetch $300,000 at Auction (PHOTOS)

Bonham's auction house has listed a 1963 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Touring once owned by Elvis Presley for sale, giving fans of "the King of Rock and Roll" a chance to own one of his many classic vehicles.

Presley purchased the limousine while living in Bel Air, California.

Custom coach work was completed by James Young, and customized with the latest technology advancements, at the time, including a Blaupunkt Koln radio, an in-car bar, electric windows on all doors, and a microphone, according to the auction house.

The vehicle originally had a blue paintjob, but Elvis had to have the car repainted after his mother's chickens wrecked the paintjob.

The vehicle was refurbished in a light silver blue in order to hide the paint chips, according to the auction house.

"It is a most interesting model of this highly desirable motorcar complete with undisputed Elvis provenance," Bonham's auction house described the limousine on its website, " This important and significant Rolls-Royce Phantom V, with its undisputed place in pop culture history, will surely be jewel in the crown for any Elvis collector."

The vehicle is powered by a 200-hp Rolls-Royce 6.2-liter V-8 engine, capable of achieving a max speed of 100 mph.

Elvis only owned the limo for five years, after gifting it in 1968 to the SHARE charity. The charity auctioned the vehicle off for $35,000.

In the nearly 40 years since the vehicle was sold off, the engine has been rebuilt, including the installation of a new cylinder block.

The Phantom V Touring has undergone a full restoration, and spent almost 20 years in a private museum.

The Rolls is expected to sell for as high as $300,000.

Those interested in the Elvis car can attend an auction at the Quail Lodge Auction in Carmel, California.
