Parajet is looking for people at the Farnborough International Airshow in England who might be interested in purchasing its highly-anticipated Parajet SkyRunner flying car.

The company is hoping to get enough orders from people to bring the prototype to market, according to Bloomberg.

The Skyrunner is a single-seat vehicle, so you won't be able to get rid of your family car just yet, and it functions more like an all-terrain vehicle, just with a paraglider wing.

The flight system's paraglider wing absorbs turbulence to provide a smooth ride.

Parajet confirmed the vehicle is powered by a 1.0-liter Ford EcoBoost gasoline engine, which helps it achieve 123 horsepower and 60 mph from a standstill in just 4.3 seconds.

On the ground, the vehicle has a top speed of 115 mph, and can take off by using its three-blade carbon fiber propeller once reaching 37 mph.

The SkyRunner can reach as high as 15,000 feet and as fast as 55 mph, once in the air.

Back in 2009, inventor Gilo Cardozo used a prototype SkyRunner to get from London to Timbuktu, though he did not fly the entire trip.

"Flying over the desert in a flying car is absolutely surreal. It's an extraordinary experience," Cardozo said to BBC News. "In the right environment, when you've learnt to fly, it's very safe."

Parajet said the flying car will cost $119,000. It hopes to start delivering the SkyRunner sometime during the first quarter of 2015.
