GM is recalling over 390,000 full-size pickup trucks and SUVs in the U.S., because of a rollaway risk, according to the automaker.

Vehicles affected by the recall includes four-wheel-drive versions of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, the 2014-'15 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra and the 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL.

"In these vehicles, the transfer case may electronically switch to neutral without input from the driver," GM said in a statement on its website. "If this occurs while a vehicle is in motion, no power will go to the wheels. If the vehicle is stopped or parked, it may roll away if the parking brake is not set."

Chevrolet and GMC dealers are being instructed to recalibrate the transfer case control module software.

All repairs will be made free of charge, according to the automaker.

A recall date has not been set by the automaker yet as of press time.

Approximately 392,459 vehicles are involved in the recall.

An additional 20,874 vehicles were sold outside the U.S. and Canada, according to GM.

GM said it is not aware of any crashes, injuries, or fatalities linked to the recall.

GM announced on June 30 that it was recalling 8.45 million more vehicles over a number of issues, including ignition switch issues and electrical problems.
