Audi unveiled its new new A7 and S7 four-door hatchbacks on May 22 in Germany as 2015 model vehicles.

Though a number of features were confirmed, U.S. launch details were not announced during the debut.

"We do not have pricing or timing for the A7 as of yet for the U.S., "said Mark Dahncke, an Audi of America spokesman, according to Edmunds.

Dahncke added that interested customers should expect the 2015 A7 to be a carryover model in the U.S.

"Haven't finalized derivatives just yet," he said.

Optional Matrix LED headlights, designed to light the road without causing glare for other drivers, are available for vehicles sold in Germany.

Dahncke said the high-tech headlights haven't been approved for use in the U.S. yet by federal safety regulators.

The A7 will be sold in its home market with the choice of three diesel engines and two gasoline engines, according to the automaker.  

The automaker confirmed that customers can expect an updated grille, tailpipes, and bumpers.

Audi's 2014 A7 U.S. lineup includes: the 3.0T engine, the A7 with the 3.0 TDI or diesel engine, the S7 with the 4.0T engine and the RS 7 with the 4.0T engine.

The current model is considered the most powerful RS vehicle ever sold in the U.S.

The A7 is expected to compete with vehicles like the 2014 BMW 5 Series Grand Turismo and the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, along with others.
