The still-on-beta Google Glass is on sale in the U.S. again for $1,500, according to a company blog post issued on May 14.

Google has decided "to move to a more open beta," saying anyone in the U.S. can buy the Internet-connected Glass eyewear for as long as devices are available.

Last month Google opened sales for the eyewear to the U.S. public for $1,500 for just one day to make it available to more than just a select group of users, like app developers.

The company has not confirmed how many Google Glass devices will be available yet. They've also failed to say if they will make more Google Glass devices once they run out of stock.

Google is still it is still working on improving the hardware and software of the device.

A consumer version of the device is expected to go on sale to the general public sometime towards the end of 2014.

Google Glass is a small computer in an eyeglass frame that works by using a prism to project images above the user's field of vision, according to Google.

The device allows users to access e-mail, take video, pictures, browse websites, and access social media sites.

Privacy concerns have prompted some legislators to try banning the gadget.
