The widow of Roger Rodas has filed a lawsuit against Porsche this week claiming, claiming the automaker is the reason her husband and actor Paul Walker died last November in a fiery car crash.

Kristine Rodas said in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on May 12 that a suspension failure of the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT caused her husband to lose control of the vehicle before it crashed into trees and a utility pole on November 30, 2013.

Walker's death temporarily stopped production of "Fast & Furious 7," which he was on break from filming at the time of the crash.

The film was supposed to be released this July, but will now be released on April 10, 2015.

Authorities have ruled the crash was caused by excessive speed and not a mechanical failure, according to Reuters.

An investigation of the crash helped authorities determine that Rodas was traveling at speeds of 80 to 93 mph in a 45-mph zone, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle.

Rodas' attorney said in the lawsuit that Roger Rodas, who was a skilled race car driver, was only traveling at 55 mph on a Santa Clarita, California street at the time of the crash.

The lawsuit asks for unspecified damages from Porsche Cars North America, which is owned by Volkswagen.

"We're very sorry for the Rodas and Walker families' loss," company spokesman Nick Twork said, according to Reuters. "The crash was the subject of a detailed of investigation of the proper authorities and their investigation disproves the allegations in the lawsuit."
