Saturn will appear in the sky later tonight just to the lower left of the moon, according to SPACE.com.

"At dusk on Tuesday, Saturn will appear about 5.5 degrees to the lower left of the moon," said SPACE.com. "The moon will move toward Saturn at its own apparent width (one-half degree) per hour during the night."

Saturn was in "opposition," the closest it will be to Earth this year, just a few days ago.

Unlike some of the brightest stars in the sky, the sixth planet from the sun will give off a steady pale-yellow light, according to SPACE.com.

The gap between Earth's path and that of Saturn is approximately 830 million miles.

By dawn on May 14, the moon and Saturn will be low in the west-southwest, the moon having moved to within 2.5 degrees to the lower right of the planet, according to SPACE.com.

The full moon of May, also known as the Full Flower Moon, will take place on Wednesday, May 14.

North America won't be able to view the exact moment of the full moon, which will take place at approximately 3:16 p.m. EDT, according to Earth Sky.

From the southern half of New Zealand, Antarctica, and Australia, the moon will occult Saturn on Wednesday night.

Saturn is the second largest planet in our solar system, behind just Jupiter.

A broadcast of the lunar occultation will begin at around 6:15 a.m.
