Ferrari has announced that it plans to launch at least one new model every year through 2018, according to a company press release.
The automaker will limit its annual production to just 7,000 vehicles in an attempt to maintain the brand's exclusivity.
Each new model will have an eight-year life cycle: an initial run of four years, followed by more potent M versions that last another four years, said Sergio Marchionne, head of Ferrari's parent Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
Marchionne discussed the automaker's future plans at an Investors Day meeting this week.
He added that Ferrari is planning the "selective launch" of special series that will target high-end customers.
Ferrari will "keep production capped to preserve the brand's uniqueness," he said.
The Ferrari range now includes four V8 vehicles (458 Italia, 458 Speciale, 458 Spider, California T) and two V12 models (F12 Berlinetta, FF), as well as a new flagship, the LaFerrari hyper-hybrid, according to the automaker.
The hybrid vehicle's entire production run of 499 cars is reportedly sold out, despite costing over $1.4 million per vehicle.
Earlier this year,
Ferrari was rated as "the world's most powerful brand" earlier this year, topping other global brands like Apple, Google, Coca-Cola and Disney.
Brands were rated in a survey by market research firm Brand Finance based on a number of factors, including consumer sentiment, visual identity, desirability, loyalty, and online presence.
