Apple's next iPhone could be as thin as an iPod touch, according to a recent video released by Unbox therapy.

A video released this week compares a cover made for an iPhone 6 device with that of an existing iPod touch.

The current iPod touch is placed inside a supposed 4.7-inch iPhone 6 case, and it easily fits inside.

Apple's latest iPod touch was released back in 2012, and is approximately 6.1 mm thick, whereas the Apple phone, the iPhone 5S, is 7.6 mm thick.

If recent reports are correct, the iPhone 6 could be around 6.5 mm to 7.0 mm.

Another comparison was released last week with devices like the iPhone 5, Galaxy Note 3 and the Nexus 5 to show how big Apple's next device is expected to be, according to ValueWalk.com.

Apple is reportedly preparing to debut two new iPhone devices this year, one with a 4.7-inch screen and one with a 5.5-inch display, according to rumors that have circulated for a couple of months.

The larger device is facing production delays over its battery, according to Taiwanese news website Commercial Times.

Apple suppliers have nicked named the 5.5-inch iPhone the iPhone Air, according to Commercial Times.

Other rumored specifications include: bezel-free design, an advanced A8 processor, a camera with optical image stabilization, a more durable, sapphire screen. 

A new operating system that the next iPhone will likely use is expected to debut at the 2014 WWDC this June.

Apple has not commented on any rumors regarding its next iPhone yet.
