The Twitter redesign that has been rolling out in the last couple of weeks is now available for all users.

The company announced Tuesday that all users can now update to the new layout, which arguably looks similar to Facebook, The Verge reported. Twitter members can update their profiles here.

The redesign, which Twitter began testing in February, is more visual with larger profile photos and cover photos. User timelines will also be more similar to Facebook in the way activity will be more visible, including when you follow a new account.

Individual timelines will also be mosaic-like instead of the streamlined format from before; tweets with more favorites and retweets will appear larger on the page. Everyday users will also be able to differentiate between all tweets and tweets that are replies, something that was already available for verified accounts.

Users will also be able to highlight a favorite Twitter moment on their timelines. They can pin one of their tweets to the top of their pages to show people what they enjoy tweeting about or tell followers a little more about themselves. The pinned tweet can also be exchanged for another tweet at any time.

In another change, the number of tweets you've marked with a favorite will be visible. For power users, this statistic can be in the tens of thousands or more.

CNET noted that Twitter had a modest profit of $243 million in the fourth quarter of last year and could benefit by following Facebook's lead when it comes to implementing ads. In a Facebook-like move, Twitter has already been working to get a piece of the mobile app install and ad network business, according to CNET.
