Lexus debuted its new NX this weekend at the 2014 New York International Automobile Show.
The vehicles is the automaker's first entry into the luxury compact crossover segment, according to a company press release. It is also the first turbo in the lineup as well.
The automaker confirmed at the show that the NX will be sold in "naturally aspirated and hybrid powertrains," according to the release.
The NX 200t turbo and NX 300h hybrid will both be offered in the U.S.
Lexus added that its NX 200t F SPORT will be available with a number of exterior and interior features that customers can choose from, according to the automaker.
Both vehicles will be on display this week at the New York Auto Show.
Once released, the new vehicle will be the fourth vehicle in Lexus' luxury utility vehicle lineup, according to the release.
Chief engineer Takeaki Kato and his team developed the NX.
The Lexus LF-NX concepts were first introduced last year during the 2013 Frankfurt and Tokyo Motor Shows.
A production version of the NX was created to have "more agility" than the SUV option, with an "eye-catching exterior" and "unique" roofline, according to the release.
The NY Auto Show will run until April 27 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
