Apple has formally announced its next Worldwide Developers Conference will take place during the first week of June.

The iPhone maker revealed that the WWDC 2014 has officially been scheduled for June 2 to 6, and will take place at San Francisco's Moscone West Center.

Interested attendees will have the chance to buy tickets to this year's conference through a random selection, according to Apple.

Register by April 7 at 10 a.m. PT for your chance to attend one of the biggest tech conferences of the year.

To register, you must be a current member of the iOS Developer Program, iOS Developer Enterprise Program, or Mac Developer Program.

Those who are selected will have the chance to purchase a WWDC ticket for $1,599. The purchase must be completed no later than April 14, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.

Over 1,000 engineers will be at the conference to run hands-on labs and other events to help attendees learn more about iOS and OS x.

One of the biggest questions leading into the WWDC 2014 is if Apple will introduce iOS 8. Other rumors include Mac apps coming to the iPhone and iTunes Radio being offered as a separate app.
