A London training center is attempting to teach dogs of all ages a very new trick-how to take the perfect selfie.

City Dog is a self-titled "iDog Clinic" that trains dogs how to take pictures of themselves on iPads, Yahoo Tech reported via The Guardian.

The 90-minute classes, which cost around $247 USD per session, involve training the dogs in how to take pictures, recognize words and perform a variety of other tricks.

City Dog was founded in 2007 by Nicole Scott, a former NASA physicist.

"For centuries man has been engaging dog in what he was interested in," Scott told Yahoo Tech. "Man taught dog to become integrated into his hunt, man used dog to guard his children. So you know what, if what man's into right now is his device, let's get the dog interested in the device." 

Working on a 1:1 ratio of dogs and staff members, the trainers give each owner and dog pair tools that include a clicker, a wooden iPhone and a rubber stand as well as treats like liver, chicken and hot dog.

The animals are trained to take pictures of themselves through exercises that condition them to associate a clicker with treats. After dogs have mastered clicks, owners can take out their iPads--they have to bring their own to the class--and start working with dog-learning apps.

For the class, the pups can work with Big Camera Button, a feature that lets the dogs snap selfies by touching their noises anywhere on the screen.

Dogs can also paint their own masterpieces with a painting app and even "learn to read" with the Big Words app, which teaches them to recognize the shape of such commands as "sit" or "down."

While working an iPad can't be that strenuous, the various exercises seem to leave the dogs worn out.

"Everyone says the same thing," Scott told Yahoo Tech. "After an hour and a half of doing this, even though their dog hasn't moved more than two feet, everyone's dog goes home and passes out for hours."
