The new Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone will cost $200 through a two-year service agreement with AT&T starting Friday, the company has announced.
The phone, which will ship in a few weeks, will cost $650 without a contract, The Associated Press reported. Samsung plans to send the new smartphone worldwide on April 11, and the Galaxy S5 will likely be available through other carriers soon.
The S5 features a 5.1-inch screen, measured diagonally, and a 16-megapixel camera, according to the AP. The new smartphone was announced last month at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
AT&T also announced that preorders are available for Samsung's Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The phone has an HD screen and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Users who are on an AT&T plan can pay $25 a month over 18 months or $32.50 over a year through the AT&T Next plan.
The S5's battery supports 12 hours of video playback and 10 hours of web browsing. The improved camera features an auto-focus that takes just 0.3 seconds as well as HDR Rich Tone, which controls the exposure of images, according to Samsung.
The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches will be available for $299 and $199, respectively, according to the L.A. Times.
AT&T has offered a deal where customers can save $50 on the purchase of either smartwatch when they buy a Galaxy S5 smartphone.
Featuring a curved OLED screen, the Gear Fit is an activity-tracking device that costs $199 and puts Samsung in the ring with competing fitness devices Jawbone and FitBit.
The Samsung devices should be available with Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint, but the carriers haven't yet announced pricing or preorder dates, the L.A. Times reported.
