The Lexus LF-NX turbo concept that was showcased in Frankfurt and Tokyo last year will reportedly debut in production trim at this year's Beijing Auto Show.

Scheduled to be available this fall, the compact crossover is expected to compete with such titles as the Audi Q3, the BMW X1 and the new Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, Motor Authority reported.

The NX, which will be a 2015 model, should initially be produced in two versions, although both may not be brought to the United States. It is expected to debut on April 20 in Beijing.

The car will probably be available in standard front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive as an option, according to Motor Authority.

The two different versions will feature a hybrid engine with 300 horsepower and a turbocharged, 2-liter unit, respectively.

The NX will be based on the Toyota RAV4 platform, Motor Authority reported.

The concept version of the NX is equipped with interactive touch-sensitive switches and a new touch-pad Remote Touch interface, the interior featuring leather with contrast stitching.

The vehicle is powered by a new variant of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, but is tuned for SUV performance, according to Lexus.

"The LF-NX concept's exterior design reflects a further evolution of Lexus' L-finesse design language," Toyota said in a statement at the time of the hybrid crossover's Frankfurt Auto Show unveiling.
