Bentley To Launch Flying Spur with V8 Engine

Bentley has announced its offerings for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, where the English carmaker plans to unveil a V8 engine version of the Flying Spur.

Based on Bentley's Continental brand, the new Flying Spur will feature a 4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 500 horsepower, Autoblog.com reported.

The four-door sedan boasts capability of 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and reaches 183 mph at top speed.

"Complementing the Flying Spur flagship W12 model, the V8 sedan provides the opportunity to experience the Flying Spur's unique blend of sculpted, sleek coachwork, exquisite craftsmanship and advanced on-board technology," said a Bentley press release.

The Flying Spur has an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive and runs on a fuel range of 520 miles. The exterior has updated styling with the front bumper grilles finished in black as well as the signature Bentley winged badge.

The V-8 version of the Flying Spur comes in seven exterior paints and four interior colors, according to the press release. The 19-inch alloy wheels also have a painted finish.

Inside, the sedan features a monotone interior color split and wood veneer in Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus.

Along with the new Flying Spur, Bentley will introduce an updated version of the Continental GT Speed in both coupe and convertible form, Autoblog reported.

The flagship Grand Tourer will be even faster, its 6-litre twin-turbo W12 engine now producing 635 horsepower. The new Bentley GT Speed coupe will be the carmaker's fastest production model yet, reaching a top speed of 206 mph.

The Continental flagship model is also updated inside and out for a "more distinctive visual presence" with a dark tint finish on the wheels, headlamps and tail lamps and a dark monotone interior with accent stripes, according to the press release.
